The Belgian company SOLVAY has finalized an agreement with the Russian concern VCP - VLADIMIR CHEMICAL PLANT, under which they have set up a joint venture specialized in PVC in Russia. SOLVAY will hold 51% of the new company, called SOLMIR, which will make PVC products used in manufacturing window frames and cladding for walls and facades. Its annual production capacity is some 15,000 tonnes and it will employ around 50 workers.
