ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) packaging

The Australian company AMCOR will take over the packaging branch of the Danish food group DANISCO and that of the company AKERLUND & RAUSING (of the Finnish group AHLSTROM). AMCOR FLEXIBLE EUROPE, the name of the new entity resulting from this 3-way merger, will generate consolidated sales of EUR 1.12 billion, which will make it the biggest in the sector. AMCOR will own 67% of the capital, while DANISCO will hold 25% and AHLSTROM, 8%.
