29/03/2001 (Agence Europe) - In a press release, the European Federation of Pharmaceutical Industries and Associations (EFPIA) welcomes the recent communication by the European Commission on the biotechnology sector. It announces a "b-Europe" initiative, which, in recognising the important potential of biotechnology, would make it the other pole of EU industrial competitiveness, alongside the now famous "e-Europe".
