The German industrial group THYSSENKRUPP is to acquire via its specialised subsidiary TKA - THYSSENKRUPP AUTOMOTIVE the suspension and shock absorber activities of MMSS - MAGNETI MARELLI (turnover EUR 1.5 billion expected for 2001 with 5,500 employed), the automobile parts subsidiary of Italian manufacturer FIAT, for the sum of around EUR 450 million.
