12/03/2001 (Agence Europe) - Israeli President Moshe Katsav said in an interview with the German newspaper Bild am Sondag, that "we are already working closely with the EU, and I hope that this cooperation will further deepen. Yes, I would like Israel to become a member of the European Union (…) I hope there will be no opposition to our joining".
