VIVENDI UNIVERSAL (France) has joined up with Japan's SONY within a joint-venture called DUET which is to launch a pay on-line music site by the summer, pooling the two groups' catalogues. This joint-venture in intended to rival the NAPSTER site, allied to the German BERTELSMANN.
