ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) radars

FIAR SPA (Italian grop ALENIA DIFESA-FINMECCANICA) has entered ito the SOSTAR joint-venture, responsible for developing "Sostar-X" radars for ground surveillance. FIAR will have a 28% stake, like its two main partners, Germany's EADS and France's THALES. The other shareholders are the Spanish group INDRA (10%) and Dutch FOKKER SPACE (5%).
