ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) telecommunications

FRANCE TELECOM announced that it would not buy a majority stake in the Polish operator TPSA, this year, under present conditions. This refusal by the French operator to further engage itself in TPSA, in which it holds 35%, is bad news for the Polish government which was counting on the USD 1.2 billion receipts coming from the sale of TSPA shares to FRANCE TELECOM.
