ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) food processing

The French LESAFFRE has just concluded the acquisition of the American leader in yeast, REDSTAR YEASTS & PRODUCTS for a total of USD 109 million. This operation makes the French, already the world leader in yeast production and third largest in brewing malt with a turnover of EUR 1 billion, the leader in baking yeast in the United States, with a market share of more than 30%.
