19/02/2001 (Agence Europe) - On Tuesday, the European Parliament slightly amended, at first reading (codecision), the proposed changes to the regulation on the maritime safety committee and directives regarding maritime safety and the prevention of pollution from ships at sea, as recommended by its rapporteur, Emmanouil Bakopoulos, Greek member of the European United Left/Nordic Greens Left Group.
