14/02/2001 (Agence Europe) - The EP, following its rapporteur British Conservative James Nicholson, has amended, on one point, the draft regulation establishing measures for replenishing cod stocks in the Irish Sea (see EUROPE of 12/13 February, p.17). Consulted in one reading, the EP thus took a stance in favour of renewal until 30 April instead of 22 March the derogation granted to haddock fishing.
