Brussels, 07/02/2001 (Agence Europe) - Regarding the European Commission's communication on EU assistance in elections in third countries, the EP's Foreign Affairs Committee has adopted a resolution tabled by Giovanni Claudio Fava (Democratici di sinistra) which, in particular, states that the European Parliament should be alone in being able to determine and composition and duration of a Parliamentary election monitoring mission, and that it should set up an "Election Coordination Group"....
