ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) defence

The European defence aeronautics group EADS is to acquire a 26.8% stake in the Finnish public group PATRIA. The deal comes within the framework of a partnership concluded with this company and the Finnish Ministry of Trade and Industry. PATRIA made a turnover of EUR 193 million in 1999.
