ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) chemicals

German group HENKEL (detergents and glues) is to acquire the metal processing activities of ATOFINA, the chemicals subsidiary of the oil group TOTALFINAELF. The sum was not disclosed. The activities in question represent a turnover of $100 million, include the production and sale of products for metal processing and surface treatment, and employ 400.
