ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) distribution

The Dutch distribution group AHOLD has announced the acquisition of the American group PARKWAY FOOD SERVICE (annual average turnover $85 million) by its US subsidiary US FOOD SERVICE for a sum that has not been disclosed. PARKWAY and US FOODSERVICE (annual turnover $12 billion) are both specialised in the distribution of food and pre-cooked food for restaurants and canteens.
