ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) telecommunications

BRITISH TELECOM is to acquire from Norwegian TELENOR the 49.5% stake in the capital of the Irish mobile operator ESAT DIGIFONE that it does not yet hold, for the sum of NOK 10.8 billion. BT, moreover, has announced it is to sell its 0.8M stake in PORTUGAL TELECOM for an undisclosed amount.
