VIVENDI ENVIRONNEMENT (France) and ANGLIAN WATER (United Kingdom) have been declared concessionaries for the water of the town of Prague. The Czech State will receive 6.1 billion crowns (EUR 174 million) in exchange for 66% of the capital of the Prague water and water duct company. The French and British groups have offered twice as much as their competitors, INTERNATIONAL WATER and UNITED UTILITIES, to achieve this.
