30/01/2001 (Agence Europe) - The International Labour Organisation (ILO) has just published its Report in employment in the world 2001, whose main conclusions are: 1) at the beginning of 2001, 1/3 of the 3 billion people forming the working population are without work or under employed, of which 160 million are officially unemployed, 2) the world economy should maintains its present rhythm of growth to create the 500 million jobs required over the next ten years, 3) despite the expansion on information technologies and communication (ITC), entire areas of the world are still disconnected from the benefits of electronics, 4) the ITC offer possibilities to improve the existence of women.
