30/01/2001 (Agence Europe) - ÖVP elected member Marilies Flemming has been designated as EP rapporteur on the directive relating to water prices. The fact that an Austrian parliamentarian and not one from a southern Union country has been chosen is a clear sign in favour of the respectful treatment that such an essential good such as water commands, commented Ms Flemming.
