26/01/2001 (Agence Europe) - In a letter to President Havel, Romano Prodi assured him that the EU was doing all it could to secure the release of two Czech citizens - one of whom a parliamentarian - incarcerated in Cuba on 12 January after having met two journalists. Prodi recalled the approaches made on the subject by European institutions (the EU troika, and the President of the EP, Nicole Fontaine, notably).
