Brussels, 15/01/2001 (Agence Europe) - The Swedish Presidency has, on behalf of the European Union, issued the following declaration: "The European Union welcomes the decision by the former president of Republika Srpska in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Ms Biljana Plavsic, indicted by the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia (ICTY), to voluntarily present herself at The Hague in order to cooperate with the Tribunal. The Union calls upon all other persons indicted by the ICTY to voluntarily surrender to the Tribunal and reiterates its call on all States and entities concerned to comply with their obligation to cooperate with the ICTY".
