12/12/2000 (Agence Europe) - During the third quarter of this year, the GDP in the EU and that of the euro area increased 0.7% compared to the previous quarter. Comparison with the same quarter in 1999 shows 3.4% expansion. There has been a particularly marked acceleration in exports.
