According to the German newspaper Suddeutsche Zeitung, four companies have expressed an interest in taking over the German regional rail track operator that the national company DEUTSCHE BAHN would like to get rid of. They are Britain's NATIONAL EXPRESS, France's VIVENDI (via its German subsidiary DEG) and SNCF (through its German subsidiary EUROBAHN) and the Swiss firm MIDDLETHURGAUBAHN.
