The diversified Norwegian group ORKLA (food, media and chemicals) is to increase its stake in DET BERLINGSKE OFFICIN, the largest Danish newspaper, from 10.8% to 87%. It will make a bid for the remainder of the shares the amount of which values the company as a whole at over 1 bn Danish kroner. Through this operation, ORKLA's turnover in the media will amount to 6.5 bn Norwegian kroner, with a staff of 7,252.
