Karamanou Report calls for legislative measures particularly regarding immigration from Albania and neighbouring countries

Brussels, 23/10/2000 (Agence Europe) - On Thursday, the European Parliament will discuss a new report on the problem of immigration and, above all, illegal immigration, that by Greek Socialist Anna Karamanou on the Draft Action Plan for Albania and neighbouring regions developed by the High Level Group on asylum and immigration created in December 1998 at the request of the EU Council (and responsible for making proposals concerning also Iraq, Afghanistan, Morocco, Somalia and Sri Lanka)....
