21/09/2000 (Agence Europe) - Having met Turkish Foreign Minister Ismail Cem in Brussels on Wednesday, the President of the Socialist Group, Enrique Baron suggested that the former be invited to speak before the EP's Foreign Affairs Committee. According to a press release, Mr. Baron welcomed the Demirok Report on human rights adopted in Turkey, whereas Mr. Cem recognised that "now, Turkey must act".
