British tour operator AIRTOUR (turnover EUR 5.4 billion in 1999) has acquired 50% of the Spanish hotel group HOTETUR, which controls about twenty hotels and tourist complexes. In exchange for this shareholding, AIRTOUR will sell 5.6 million of its shares (1.15% of the capital) to the owners of the Spanish chain.
