Finnish SAMPO OYJ has announced the acquisition of PTE NU and NU LIFE, the Polish activities of CGNU (group formed from the merger of insurance firms CGU and NORWICH UNION; see EI of 22 February) in the sector of pensions and life insurance, for the sum of EUR 237 million.
