The Anglo-Norwegian engineering company KVAERNER is to sell to the Swedish construction group SKANSKA (turnover SEK 41.8 billion for the first half of 2000) its construction branch (turnover NOK 16.6 billion in 1999 with 7,000 employed) for the sum of around NOK 4.7 billion. The sale includes the 50% share held by KVAERNER in GAMMON, a company located in Hong Kong.
