Brussels, 16/08/2000 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission has approved the joint purchase by the German firms Siemens and Bosch of the German company Mannesmann Demag Krauss Maffei. According to a Commission investigaion, the operation will neither create nor strengthen a dominant position on the market, and will only lead to a marginal increase in market share for steam turbines.
