ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) water

The Franco-Belgian group SLE - SUEZ LYONNAISE DES EAUX announced that it owns 100% of the capital in the American water supplier UWR - UNITED WATER RESOURCES. It has, in fact, acquired the 67% not already owned by it for a total of USD 1.2 billion, or USD 35 per share. With a turnover estimated at USD 520 million for 2000, UWR serves 7.5 million inhabitants with water and waste waters facilities in the United States. See EI of 27 August 1999.
