Commission decides to recover EUR 350.8 million from Member States for unjustified agricultural spending

Brussels, 05/07/2000 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission is to recover from Member States EUR 350.8 million paid out under the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) but spent without complying with Community rules or without sufficient control procedures. The corrections mainly concern France (EUR 128.7 million, of which nearly half for failure to comply with administrative controls on arable crops) and Greece (88.3 million), followed by Denmark (30.1), Italy (22.2), the United Kingdom...
