The British fitness club FITNESS FIRST (turnover of GBP 24.4 million in 1999) acquired the chain SPORTATHLON which manages a group of clubs in Hong Kong, Singapore and Bangkok, from the Asian conglomerate FIRST PACIFIC, for USD 4.45 million.
