30/06/2000 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission welcomes in a press release the opening this weekend of the Oresund bridge/tunnel linking Denmark to Sweden. One of the 14 priority projects of the transeuropean networks, the Oresund bridge was financed up to EUR 1 billion by the EU. The link between Copenhagen and Malmö is one of the first three priority TEN projects completed, with the Malpensa airport in Italy and the rail link Cork/Dublin/Belfast/Larne in Ireland.
