Brussels, 26/06/2000 (Agence Europe) - The High Representative for CFSP, Javier Solana, said he was "encouraged," on Monday, by the "courageous decision" taken the day before by the Serb National Council of Kosovo to reintegrate the joint interim administrative structures established by UNMINK (which it left following the recent wave of violence against Serbs in Kosovo: Ed.). The only way to improve the situation, is "co-operation, and not confrontation," he said, while assuring that the EU and its Member States will continue their efforts so as to ensure a better quality of life for the Serbs in Kosovo and to encourage the rapid return of refugees and displaced persons.
