Council confirms and adds detail to the Union's position

Luxembourg, 14/06/2000 (Agence Europe) - On Tuesday, after evaluating the situation in the western Balkans, the General Affairs Council adopted conclusions stigmatising the deterioration of the political situation in Serbia, taking note of the results of the elections in Montenegro without expressing satisfaction therewith, and condemning the ethnic violence that is continuing in Kosovo. EUROPE will publish these conclusions in full in its next issue.
