CANAL+ and TF1 (France) have bought, on virtually a 50-50 basis, the shares held by the US firm ESPN in the sports channels EUROSPORT FRANCE and EUROSPORT INTERNATIONAL, for USD 155 million. Following this transaction, EUROSPORT FRANCE is owned as follows: CANAL+ (39%), TF1 (36%), HAVAS IMAGES (25%); and EUROSPORT INTERNATIONAL: TF1 (50.5%) and CANAL+ (49.5%). EUROSPORT, the world's number one sports channel, has consolidated turnover of FRF 1.25 billion a year.
