TERRA NETWORKS has confirmed the purchase of the American firm LYCOS in a share-swap operation weighing $12.5 bn. In concrete terms, TERRA NETWORKS has proposed 1.7 shares for each LYCOS share, valuing the American group at $97.55 a share. See yesterday's EI.
