Commission takes action against France which still does not comply with minimum landing sizes of fish

Brussels, 17/05/2000 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission has decided to send an additional reasoned opinion to France for having continued in its non-compliance with the control measures concerning minimum landing sizes of some species of fish, mainly hake. An earlier reasoned opinion had already been sent to France in 1996 for failure to implement the ruling of the Court of Justice dated 11 June 1991, whereby the Court had noted that France had failed to provide the necessary...
