Paris, 05/05/2000 (Agence Europe) - The Institut d'Etudes de Securité de l"Union de l'Europe Occidental lead by Niccole Gnesotto is organising on the 18 May in Paris a transatlantic forum in the theme "European defence: crossed European and American perceptions". The work will be introduced by Nicole Gnesotto and by Roland Wegener, Deputy Secretary General of the WEU and relating to: (1) Common foreign and defence security policy: why and in what aim?, with speeches by Gérard Errera (Quai d'Orsay) and Antony Blinken (National Security Council); (2) the American policy towards Europe with speeches by Jamie Dobbins (State Department) and Roger Liddle (Special advisor to Tony Blair); (3) The EU and NATO: who build complementarity?, with speeches by Lisa Bronson (Pentagon) and Marc Otte (Head of the CFSP task force to the EU Council).
