ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) roads

The French group COLAS has signed a memorandum of understanding to acquire a 22.7% stake in the Thai firm TASCO - TIPCOO ASPHALT PUBLIC COMPANY at 44 baths a share, corresponding to a total of 33 million euro. TASCO is Thailand's main distributor of bitumen products with a turnover in 1999 of 3.3 bn baths.
