PIPELIFE INERNATIONAL (Belgian group SOLVAY and Austrian WIENERBERGER) has taken over the American PVC pipe manufacturer JET STREAM PLASTIC PIPE ($46 million turnover in 1999 with 125 employees and a production capacity of 50,000 tonnes of PVC pipes). The cost of the acquisition has not been disclosed.
