The Belgian flooring firm BERRY GROUP (325 million euro turnover in 1999) has taken over the Norwegian firm NORSKE SKOG FLOORING (67.3 million euro turnover in 1999) for an undisclosed amount. The company's name will be changed to ALLOC, for its activities both in Norway and the United States. Through this acquisition, the Belgian group will manufacture some 15% of world production of stratified flooring.
