World Trade Union Congress on Social Justice

Brussels, 03/04/2000 (Agence Europe) - The 17th World Congress of the International Confederation of Free Trade Unions (CISL) began work on Monday 3 April to end Friday 7 April. Taking part, are some 1,200 delegates and observers from over 150 countries. This congress, organised jointly with CISL's three affiliate organisations in South Africa, has as theme "Globalising Social Justice: the trade unionism of the 21st century". Speaking, will be South African Prime Minister ". Speaking, will be South African President, and former President Nelson Mandela. Trade union reports will also be published during the congress on AIDS, disabled workers, youth and trade unions.
