ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) privatisations

- Greece: The Greek government has added COSMOTE, the mobile phone subsidiary of the public telecoms operator OTE, to its list of upcoming privatisation projects. It hopes to raise USD 500 million by divesting itself of between 10 and 15%, valuing the firm at USD 3.5 to 5 billion. COSMOTE has more than 1.1 million subscribers, or a 28% share of the national market.
