13/03/2000 (Agence Europe) - In our article devoted to the financial allocation of the European programme for reconstruction and development in South Africa for the next seven years (see EUROPE of 9 March, p.10), please read: "the Council's joint position provides for the granting of a financial allocation of EUR 787.5 million for the period 2000-2006, that is 112.5 million per year (and not 157.5 per year)". The amount of the annual allocation made available to South Africa will therefore be less than the annual amount allocated earlier (125 Mecus/year).
