Lisbon conference on investments emphasises measures necessary to utilise existing potential - stability, co-operation between countries in region, improving general environment, end of "war structures"

Brussels, 03/03/2000 (Agence Europe) - Portugal, acting EU Presidency, and Tunisia have organised, for the 29 February and the 1 March in Lisbon, a Conference on Mediterranean investments. In this Conference the Portuguese Prime Minister and several other Ministers from Member State's (France and Italy) and Mediterranean third countries (MTC) as well as representatives from the World Bank, the EIB and some 300 financial and economic operators took part.
