19/05/2026 (Agence Europe) – The European Commission wishes to gather the opinions of interested parties on the draft guidelines clarifying the classification of high-risk artificial intelligence (AI) systems, which it published on Tuesday, 19 May. Supplemented by concrete examples, these guidelines will help those who provide and deploy AI systems to determine whether or not their system poses a high risk to health, safety, or fundamental rights. These guidelines will be supplemented by other Commission guidelines so as to facilitate compliance with the obligations applicable to high-risk AI systems.
