Several EU organisations call for a review of Tobacco Products Directive

On Tuesday 5 November, a number of EU organisations called on the European Commission to revise the texts on tobacco products in order to “accelerate” the implementation of Europe’s Beating Cancer Plan”. 

In particular, the European Cancer Organisation, the European Lung Foundation and the European Society of Cardiology want to see a revision of the Tobacco Products Directive, the Tobacco Taxation Directive, the Tobacco Advertising Directive and an overhaul of the legal framework...
