More than twenty European start-up associations published a non-paper document on Wednesday 23 October calling on the Commission to introduce a “28th European regime” in order to “unlock the capabilities of European businesses and enable them to finally benefit from a true single market”.
The creation of this regime is a political ambition, mentioned by Ursula von der Leyen in July after her re-election as head of the European Commission as a “new EU-wide legal status”.
